What is EVE Online
EVE is more like a sandbox game which means: An open world is a type of video game with level design where a player can roam freely through a virtual world and is given considerable freedom in choosing how or when to approach objectives.
The game was developed in 2003 and made great progress by adding new features during nine years of its existence. We can describe eve online as a video game that is a player-driven, persistent-world MMORPG set in a science fiction space setting. Characters pilot customizable ships through a galaxy of over 7,500 star systems. Most star systems are connected to one or more other star systems by means of stargates. The star systems can contain moons, planets, stations, wormholes, asteroid belts and complexes.
Players of Eve Online can participate in a number of in-game professions and activities, including mining, piracy, manufacturing, trading, exploration, and combat (both player versus environment aka PVE and player versus player aka PVP). The character advancement system is based upon training skills in real time, even while not logged into the game which is totally different game system compared to all other MMO´s. Definitely there are some difficulties. As I mentioned, the game has been progressing since 2003 and there are so many features that can be kind of difficult for new players. Hopefully there is a tutorial system, that can help the newbies to handle with the basics. There are also alliances consisting of corporations that you can imagine as guild gathering up players with simillar intentions in game.
